APSU es una empresa de base tecnológica (EBT), con sede en Fuerteventura, cuya actividad consiste en el desarrollo de un equipo para descontaminar agua de forma eficiente a través de tecnología de microondas. El proyecto, acelerado por Startup Europe Accelerator de Finnova, obtuvo financiación a través del Programa NEOTEC del CDTI. Además fue reconocida por StartUp Europe Awards 2016, premios promovidos por la Comisión Europea y creado por Finnova, como la mejor startup de Europa en la categoría Agua.

The European Commission has chosen the APSU, Training Experience and AgroPestAlert accelerated startups in the StartUp Europe Accelerator by Finnova programme to participate in the EU-Africa Business Summit to present their services and technologies during Monday, 6th of November, at EU-Africa Forum, which will take place on 27 November in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. This action is carried out within the StartUp Europe comes to Africa network, promoted by the European Commission and officially launched in Brussels on Monday 6 November.
For the startups of our program, Africa means an opportunity to internationalize their innovation by responding to the challenges of a continent that also seeks to make its startups more visible in an international context, and to establish collaborations and synergies that can benefit everyone”, says Juanma Revuelta, director of the Finnova Foundation.
APSU is a technology-based company (EBT), based in Fuerteventura, whose activity consists of the development of a team to decontaminate water efficiently through microwave technology. The project, accelerated by Finnova’s Startup Europe Accelerator, was funded through the CDTI’s NEOTEC Programme. In addition, it was recognized by StartUp Europe Awards 2016, prizes promoted by the European Commission and created by Finnova, as the best startup in Europe in the Water category.

AgroPestAlert is part of the Climate KIC Accelerator Spain 2017 program and works to build a community of trust between farmers and pest warning systems, which through the deployment of an interconnected network of electronic and intelligent traps and devices, assisted by cloud data analytics applications, is able to identify pests at species level and transmit the warning of their presence at the right time when they appear, so that
These startups will have the opportunity to present their services to investors and key decision makers during the EU Africa 2017 fair, as well as attend various events dedicated to the digital economy, energy, agriculture and entrepreneurship, among other topics.
Startup Europe comes to Africa aims to introduce the efforts of startups and success stories to an international audience. In particular, it aims to add another dimension to the images of Africa by bringing together prestigious African heads of state, businessmen and business leaders on the one hand, and European politicians, businessmen and celebrities on the other.
The aim is to connect Africa and Europe through e-business rather than aid. This campaign is only the first step in building a stable, long-term bridge between the two continents.
